Privacy Policy
Moon Tiles, published by Dank Investments LLC Effective October 12, 2026
The short version
- There is no account and no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email, contacts, photos or location.
- Your progress and settings are stored only on your device.
- The game does not download anything and has no server of ours to talk to.
- The free version shows a small number of ads from Google. That is the only part of the game where another company collects data, and you control how much.
What stays on your device
The game saves these things on your iPhone or iPad and nowhere else:
- the puzzles you have cleared, and the puzzle you are in the middle of
- your settings, including the tile style you chose
- whether you have bought Remove Ads
We have no server that receives any of it, so we cannot see it, and we cannot restore it for you. Deleting the game deletes all of it. Your progress does not move to a new device on its own, although a Remove Ads purchase can always be restored (see Removing ads).
If you have iCloud backups turned on, your device may include the game's saved data in that backup. That is handled by Apple under its own privacy policy.
What the game does not use
Moon Tiles does not use your camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location. It does not ask for notifications. Every puzzle, picture and sound is built into the game, so playing it sends nothing anywhere.
Ads in the free version
The free version shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. Ads appear in two places only: a banner on the Home screen and the puzzle list, and an occasional full-screen ad between puzzles. There are never ads on a puzzle while you play it, and none at all the first time you open the game.
To show and measure ads, Google's software in the game may collect:
- a device advertising identifier, if you allow it
- your IP address, which also gives an approximate location such as city or region
- which ads were shown and whether you tapped them
- basic device and diagnostic details, such as device model and operating system version
Google uses this as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Your choices
- Tracking. The game asks for your permission before any tracking. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", you still see ads, but they are not personalised and your advertising identifier is not shared. You can change this at any time in your device's Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game shows a consent form before any ads load. You can change your answer later with Privacy options on the game's Settings screen.
Ad content is limited to material rated suitable for general audiences.
Removing ads
You can remove all ads with a single one-time purchase. There is no subscription. Once ads are removed, the game stops requesting ads altogether.
The purchase is handled by Apple's App Store. We never see your card or payment details. The App Store only tells the game that the purchase was made, so it can be restored on your other devices with Restore purchases in Settings.
What we do not do
- We do not run analytics or usage tracking of our own.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not build profiles of players.
- We do not use a third-party crash reporting service. If you have chosen on your device to share crash reports with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports.
Children
The game is suitable for a general audience and is not aimed specifically at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will help.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to see, correct or delete personal data held about you, or to object to how it is used. Because we do not hold personal data about players, there is normally nothing for us to look up or delete. Everything the game stores is on your device and under your control.
For data collected by Google through ads, use the choices described above and Google's own privacy controls.
If you allow personalised ads, some privacy laws describe that as "sharing" your data for advertising. You can opt out at any time by declining tracking, as described under Your choices.
You are always welcome to contact us with a privacy question or request.
Changes to this policy
If the game changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
