The short version
- There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email or anything else about you.
- Your scores and settings stay on your device. We don't receive them.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. They are non-personalised, and the game doesn't ask to track you across other apps.
- Google collects some device information to deliver those ads. That is described below.
- Buying Remove ads is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details.
This policy explains how Tabletop Word Fall (“the game”), published by Dank Investments LLC (“we”, “us”), handles information. It applies to the game on iPhone, iPad and Android.
Information kept on your device
The game stores the following in a file on your device so it can remember them between sessions:
- your settings (sound, music, haptics, reduced motion);
- your best scores, your recent results and the longest word and chain you have made;
- whether you have bought Remove ads;
- how many ads have been shown today, so the game can keep to its limit of a few a day.
This file is not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the game deletes it. It may be included in your device's own backups (iCloud or Google), which are governed by Apple's and Google's privacy policies.
Information we collect
We don't collect personal information. The game has no sign-in, no analytics of our own, and no servers that receive data from it. The daily puzzle is generated on your device from the date, so playing it sends nothing to us.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you and keep it only as long as needed for that.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Unless you have bought Remove ads, the game shows a full-screen ad now and then between games, at most a few times a day. The ads come from Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To serve them, Google's software in the game collects, according to Google:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location (such as your country or city, not your exact position);
- device identifiers, such as the advertising ID or an app-specific identifier;
- ad interactions, such as which ads were shown and whether they were tapped;
- diagnostic information, such as app launch time, crashes and performance.
Google uses this for delivering and measuring ads, frequency limits, and preventing fraud. This data goes to Google, not to us.
Non-personalised ads only
The game asks Google for non-personalised ads: ads chosen from the context, not from a profile of your interests or of other apps and sites you use. The game also limits ads to content suitable for a general audience.
No tracking prompt
On iPhone and iPad, the game does not ask for permission to track you, so your device's advertising identifier is not made available to it or to Google.
Consent in Europe, the UK and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google's consent form appears before any ad and lets you choose how your data is used. You can change your choices at any time under Settings → Privacy choices in the game.
Your choices
- Remove ads (an in-game purchase) turns off ads, and the ad software stops starting up.
- On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads on some phones).
- Google explains how it uses information from apps that show its ads at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and its full privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Purchases
The one-time Remove ads purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms and privacy policies. We don't receive your name, payment details or billing address. The game only learns whether the purchase belongs to your Apple or Google account, so it can switch ads off and restore the purchase on a new device.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads in the game are limited to general-audience content. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or state laws such as the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, and to object to or restrict its use. Because we don't hold personal information from the game, there is usually nothing for us to provide or delete beyond any emails you have sent us. For data collected by Google for advertising, use the choices above or contact Google. You can always write to us and we will help where we can. We do not sell personal information.
Security
Information collected by Google's ad software is sent encrypted (TLS). The game keeps its own file on your device only.
Changes to this policy
If the game starts handling information differently, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
